Organic Gardening Zoom Class With Tilth Alliance

Organic Gardening Zoom Class With Tilth Alliance

Nepal Seattle Society (NSS) organized an online gardening class to learn some fundamentals of organic gardening in partnership with Tilth Alliance. It was designed to introduce how one can grow fresh and healthy food in the Pacific Northwest Region all year round.

Tilth Alliance is a local non-profit organization where they work in the community with Washington farmers and gardeners to build a sustainable, healthy, and equitable food future. Selena Ligrano, Project Manager from Tilth Alliance hosted the gardening zoom class where she covered many topics such as when and how to plant, how to prepare for soil, growing food in different spaces, compost and mulch and many more. We also had a guest speaker, Nil Tilija who is also an avid gardener shared his gardening journey and experience during the session.

Please find the article “Growing Food in the City ” where it covers all necessary gardening topics required to grow food in the Seattle Area / Pacific Northwest Region. You can find the article and beginners gardening calendar in both Nepali and English versions.
