Dear community members,
this year our Nepali school class will be held at North Seattle College. The 9 weeks long class will be conducted from Sunday, February 10th to April 7th.

Interested students (5 years or older) can join the class by attending our first session on Sunday February 10th. The class will start at 11 am and will end at 1 pm. The classrooms are located on the right side after the main entrance.

Lunch will be available for participating children only. Volunteers and guardians are suggested to bring their own lunch.

The suggested donation amount for admission is $50 per child for the entire 9 weeks. Donations will be accepted under Nepal Seattle Society.

On October 14th, We are organizing Dashain Cup 2018, a soccer tournament open to all Nepalese players and friends of Nepal. We are inviting all interested teams to register their teams no later than October 6. Below are further details about the tournament.

Game Format:
– 7 players in each team (max 4 subs)
– Entry fee : $220 per team

Nepal Seattle Society cordially invites you to the 2075 Dashain and Tihar Celebration Program! Please join us for unlimited fun, food, drinks, Live DJ, cultural shows and a great time with your family and friends.

This year we will have exciting performances from local artists, Open dance Floor with DJ so we would like to invite any interested artists to participate in our program with any of your singing, dancing or any other talents. Group dance preferred. Therefore, we ask all the talented artists to send an email asap requesting to perform in the event with your choice of songs (must be Nepali) and any technical requirements.

Dr. Mahabir Pun will be hosting an information session in Greenwood, Seattle about National Innovation Center on September 22, 2018. Dr. Pun has dedicated many years of his life in bringing innovation to solve various problems in Nepal and his hard work has be recognized at national and global scale.

As you may be already aware, every year members of Nepal Seattle Society (NSS), Nepali Association of Oregon (NAO) and Nepal Cultural Society of British Columbia (NCSBC) participate in a joint Northwest Regional Picnic event hosted annually by one of these three organizations.

Nepal Seattle Society (NSS) is hosting its first annual intercity table tennis tournament in January. We hope that members of the NSS will be able enjoy the friendly sport competition and make new friends and memories.

Here are the details of the competition :

  • Targeted Date: January 2018 (TBD)
  • End of Registration : Jan 2018 (TBD)
    • Interested players can register with the help of their local representative or via Paypal.
      • Olympia and South Washinton
      • Tacoma and Puyallup

      • Northgate and Shoreline

      • Bellevue and Redmond
    • The registration should be made before the end of registration date.

  • Game Type :
    • The games will be of league of team, 4 player each. This will guarantee that each player will play at least 3 games.
    • Each game will consist of 5 sets of 11 point games. Serves will alternate every 2 points.
  • Entry Fee: $25 for NSS members and $35 for non members. We will also provide a bottle of water. Refreshments will be available at the venue at low cost. All the proceedings from this event will go towards NSS sports funds and NSS community building project.
