Youth Soccer Camp 2021 #
NEYPVAL Team participated in the last event of Youth Soccer Camp 2021 organized by NSS-Sports Committee and Seattle FC. We focused on promoting safety preparedness around COVID-19 for K-12 students. Our efforts included:
- Distributing Back to School Checklist Flyers and kits
- Engaging with the young players in the Conversation around COVID-19 and how we can keep ourselves safe
- Collecting survey responses from the parents
- Distributing t-shirts supporting vaccination
Community Ambassador Meetup #
We are proud to announce that we have young and thriving community members ready to serve as volunteer community ambassadors for this project. They are helping us collect data, share our campaign messages in social media, and help make our events and efforts successful. We recently had an informal get together to debrief on the project and how they can help people get access to basic healthcare such as COVID-19 vaccines and flu vaccines.

Dashain Cup 2021 #
NEYPVAL Team showed enthusiasm by celebrating with the twelve soccer teams playing to win the championship title of Dashain cup of 2021. We set up a booth and showcased our education materials around recent Pfizer booster in Nepali and English. We encouraged people to complete our survey while engaging with the community members with one-on-one conversation. More than 200 Nepali people showed up to see the wonderful players competing against each other.
We created a tiny spectacle flying kites around the field with messages in Nepali as a tribute to our culture around this special holiday (more images and videos coming soon).

We also created a social media campaign contest to promote posts encouraging people to continue being safe in this pandemic. Our soccer teams showed their support to our initiative by participating in this! Shout out to their efforts to keep our communities safe.
