Our NEYPVAL team collaborated with NSS Sports Committee and Seattle FC to spread awareness around COVID safety and safe back-to-school practices such as frequent hand washing, masking, social distancing, and getting vaccinated.
There were more than 50 young adults from ages three to age seventeen and we had fun engaging with them and their parents. Our board of directors Saurav Kakshapati, Madhab Bhandari, and Durga Shrestha were there to support and distribute the trophies for participation along with the soccer coaches.
Our efforts included:
- Distributing Back to School Checklist Flyers and kits
- Engaging with the young players in the Conversation around COVID-19 and how we can keep ourselves safe
- Collecting survey responses from the parents
- Distributing t-shirts supporting vaccination
