

Nepal Seattle Society will be hosting 11th Northwest Nepalese Jamghat at Lake Sammamish State Park, Issaquah, Washington on Saturday, 1 September, 2012. We invite all of our distinguished members and friends of Nepal to join this combined picnic full of fun activities and entertainment for everyone. Guests from Vancouver, BC and Oregon state will be joining this event.
This is a partly Potluck and partly NSS sponsored picnic. We have divided potluck items according to following areas. Please join us with your favorite dish to share with our community members and guest. Since guests from Canada and Oregon will be participating on this event, we request everyone to bring some extra food so that we have plenty of food for all.
Pyuallup/Auburn/Des Moines/Tukwila/Tacoma/Seatac: Vegetarian Dishes such as Mix Veggie Curry, Aloo Gobi or your choice of vegetarian item Mercer Island/Kirkland/Bellevue/Redmond: Veg or non Veg Pasta, Chowmein, biryani, your choice any fancy rice or noodle dish
Mercer Island/Renton/Issaquah: Bean soup, Aalu Bodi, Rasma, Chana Bhatora Lynnwood/Edmonds/Everett/Bothell: Mula Aachar, Aalu Achar, Golbheda Aachar, Kerau Aachar
U-District/North Seattle/Shoreline/Mont Lake Terrace: Meat Curry such as chicken, goat, pork, lamb or any meat items of your choice All Other City/Areas: Fruits, Drinks, Snacks, and/or Desserts
Program Schedule:
Volleyball Tournament Begins- 11:00 AM
Potluck Lunch/ BBQ- 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM
Kids/Women Activities- 2:00-4:00 PM
Volleyball Final: 4:00 PM
Dinner- 5:00 PM
Entertainment- (songs etc.) 6:00-8:00 PM
Volleyball Tournament: NSS will have a men's volleyball competetion during our NW Picnic. If you are interested to be a part of volleyball team representing Nepalese community in Seattle, please contact our volleyball coordinator, Mr. Puspa M. Shrestha at 206-412-3091. Also, we request you to join volleyball pratice match at Green Lake on every Tuesday and Thursdays at 6PM.

Parking: Lake Sammamish State Park Charges $10 for all day parking. We suggest our members and guests to car pool if possible so that they can save some money on parking fee.
